From 1977-78 onwards all kinds of scholarships (viz residential and non-residential) relating to postmatric studies shall be sanctioned subject to 90% attendance by the students who seek and are eligible for the benefit.

First 5 rank holders in each year of the 3 year/5 year of B.L. Degree courses and M.L. Degree course in each year of each branch at the affiliated Govt. Law Colleges.
The candidate should be passed all the subjects in the 1 st attempt itself.
NB: Scholarship is subject to availability of interest accrued on the corpus fund in the account.

- Conditions for the award
A Gold Medal shall be awarded every year to a regular student who secures highest marks in the subject “Human Rights and International Law” in the following courses:
- B.L. 5 year Degree Course
- B.L. 3 year Degree Course.
A student should have secured the highest mark in the subject “Human Rights and International Law” and should have secured not less than 50% of the total marks in the year in which the subject is prescribed.

- iii. Conditions for the award
1. The Scholarships shall be awarded to three M.L. students of any branch who are pursuing M.L. Degree Course, one each from Dr. Ambedkar Government Law College, Chennai, Government Law College, Madurai, Government Law College, Trichy affiliated to the Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University, Chennai provided that the student should have passed B.L. Degree Examination in the first attempt and admitted to M.L. Programme in any branch in the respective colleges securing highest marks.
2. The Scholarships shall be awarded to those M.L. students who come from 3 year B.L. Degree Course and 5 year B.L. Degree Course in alternative years.
3. The Scholarships shall be of the value of Rs. 3,000/- each and shall be given in the form of standard Text Books in the Law subject for the respective M.L. Degree Course with the approval of the Vice-Chancellor of the Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University .
